2011 Bayliner 285 Cruiser

“Our boats are economical, reliable and incredibly easy to purchase and possess. Our completely new 285 Cruiser (is) a dependable, affordable and deceivingly roomy home away from home,” to quote Bayliner Boats President, Jeff Behan. And deceivingly spacious is a most appropriate description of this latest Cruiser presented from this, tradionally among the biggest producers of family pleasure boats on the planet. The 285 is one of six Bayliner Cruiser models for 2011 which range from 24 to 34-feet. Bayliner also gives thirteen other designs of Bowriders, Ski N Fish, Cuddies, and Deck Boats commencing at sixteen feet. The two main design contributors to the spacious space aboard the 285. One is its beam - nearly ten feet of it - nine feet, eleven inches to be exact. Once you spread those extra inches of beam all through the length and depth of a boat this size, the extra cubic volume it generates gets very obvious in additional shoulder room, space for storage, isle width, berth size, etc. It just feels more roomy and much less limited.

Bayliner is fast to showcase the storage capabilities of its galley with both upper and lower cabinets, and a full supplement of offered features including microwave, refrigerator, single-burner, glass-top electric stove, and sink with faucet. Cabin leisure is delivered by an MP3- ready AM/FM/CD stereo with an optionally available 19-inch flatscreen TV/DVD. The convertible dinette opposing the galley with storage below will seriously seat four adults or alternatively, sleep two.The forward berth is refreshingly rectangular in form along the forward port side and has storage space beneath. A curtain provides aesthetic privacy to this area. The shaped fibreglass stand-up directly at the starboard side aft of the dinette offers a vanity with sink and faucet, cold and hot pressure water, toilet, shower, a storage cabinet, and an opening, screened port. Quite possibly the gem of the 285 Cruiser’s interior is not only the size of the mid-berth but also its full-height closable door, not curtain, for the ultimate in privacy in a boat this size. A hanging locker is within easy reach.
